While the central Star Control mainframe indicates that most of these components are concentrated inside the sci-fi park area, five specific units are hidden across the wider theme park grounds. Finding these scattered components allows players to fully repair the system and secure every available reward.

Exploring Key Locations in Nuka-Town USA

Two of the external Star Cores are located within the bustling hub of Nuka-Town USA. Players can discover one sitting on a counter inside the Nuka-Town Market near the merchant area. The second item is hidden in the back room of the Nuka-Cade arcade, requiring a bit of exploration behind the prize counter.

Searching the Surrounding Theme Park Attractions

Further exploration beyond the main settlement reveals additional cores tucked away near secondary attractions. In the World of Refreshment bottling plant, players can find a core in the processing room near the Quantum bottling machinery. Another unit lies in Dry Rock Gulch, resting near a corpse located between the park stands and fallen coaster structures.

Finding the Final Outlying Star Core

The fifth external component requires a trip to the eastern edge of the map at the Nuka-World Junkyard. Head inside the large barn and navigate up the stairs to the upper balcony level. The Star Core is set into a computer terminal near an animatronic alien trap, completing the set of external components needed for Star Control.
